Well, my ideal job is starting my own business. But I lend my brother big money because he’s buying a house, so that’s why I’m going to school at the moment. In design circumstances I think the future will have a lot to do with mobile apps. There are so many possibilities with mobile app design. No disrespect to mobile app designers, but I think mobile app designing is pretty simple compare to designing computer programs or something like that. There are people who don’t have their own computers but you won’t find a person who does not have a cell phone. Do I prefer working mostly alone or with other? If I know what I’m doing and have all the skills, of course I would want to work alone because that means I am taking all the money. Would I rather be very creative, or execute the design of others? Of course I rather be creative and create my own thing but it all depends on circumstances. I need to have the skills first before I get ahead of myself. How much pay do you need? I’m not too greedy so assuming the job pays my health insurance and pension, I would say around 4000 a month will do. Heavily computer-based or not? I don’t think I have a choice in the matter. I mean now a day’s computer is an essential tool to designing pretty much anything. Programming or design? I will have to say both. I think since I’m interested in being a mobile app designer, I need to know how to do programming as well. Freelance, agency, or corporate employment? I rather have reliable job so corporate employment.

I think the reason why you think phone apps are simpler than computers is because mainly of the screen size of the phone. it's small and having lots of things will make it look clutter, so simpler is better they say..
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you on working with a group rather than being a freelancer.
It's cool that you want to start your own business. I hope that all works out for you.
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that you would like to create something new on your own rather then designing something for someone else
